The Baumalight S18 Stump Grinder is built rugged for serious stump removal, combining simple operation with high torque performance. With no electrical connection required, the direct-flow hydraulic drive delivers maximum torque and RPM directly to the cutting head.
The 24″ diameter, ¾” thick steel rotor anchors the cutting system and provides the extra momentum needed to power through even the toughest hardwood stumps. Outfitted with 34 planer-style carbide teeth that extend 1-¼” from the rotor, the S18 ensures smooth operation, effective chip clearing, and reduced heat buildup. Teeth are bolt-on for easy replacement, with only 2–3 typically needing replacement at a time.
The unique rotor positioning gives the operator a clear view of grinding action, while the heavy-duty fixed deflector directs debris safely away. Designed for efficiency, the self-feeding swing arc, combined with aggressive cutting teeth, helps the S18 chew through stumps faster and cleaner.
